Counseling

INDIVIDUAL COUNSELING

Individual Counseling involves meeting with a counselor one-on-one for the purpose of reducing internal suffering which occurs in the form of problematic behaviors, beliefs, feelings, and somatic responses (sensations in the body). In addition, ongoing counseling is a common and useful means of self-growth and self-actualization. Counseling can help people to resolve barriers which interfere with positive qualities, such as joy, compassion, peace, self-esteem, spiritual connection, and love. Many people enjoy therapy and relish the journey of becoming more conscious about themselves, their inner world, and their relationships.

GROUP COUNSELING

Group Counseling is a shared therapeutic experience which includes the presence of others who are working through similar issues. Group Counseling can focus on interpersonal relationships or on particular concerns shared by the group members.  Group counseling is offered to help you reach a myriad of different therapeutic goals. With this in mind, groups are usually divided into two larger types, either “psychoeducational” or “process oriented.”

FAMILY COUNSELING

Family Counseling focuses on relationships within the family and takes place with other family members present. Family counseling may be the primary focus of treatment, or could be in supplement to someone’s individual counseling.
