Desert Foothills Counseling (DFC) is an outpatient, client-centered counseling agency located in the heart of Verde Valley. DFC believes in providing a safe and inclusive environment for individuals and families to achieve success. We offer a variety of services and programs to foster a specialized experience to meet the unique needs of each client.
DFC proudly serves clients in Phoenix , East Valley, Cottonwood, Sedona, Camp Verde, Cornville, Clarkdale, Rimrock, Lake Montezuma, Oak Creek and Prescott.
DFC’s mission is to deliver rewarding behavioral and mental health counseling services that support clients on their journey to achieve growth, fulfillment, and enhanced quality of life.

Cathleen Kennedy
Cathleen Kennedy is the substance abuse and court ordered services counselor at DFC. Cathy has 12 years of experience in working with addictions, mental health and domestic violence. Cathy feels addictions of any kind can be overcome through healing and understanding of how these have occurred in the client's lives. Cathy has a Master's degree in professional counseling from GCU. She has extensive experience in working with families as they struggle to recover from substance abuse, domestic violence and other issues. Cathy focuses Cognitive Behavioral therapy and solution focused therapy among others as they meet the client's needs. Cathy has lived in Northern Arizona for 15 years and understands the culture of Verde Valley.
